Job Description

Construction Project Manager Position with Yearout Mechanical, LLC

  • Construction Project Management Certificate or Bachelors in Construction Project Management preferred.
  • 5 years of Technical and Practical experience in construction, particularly HVAC, plumbing and process systems.
  • Knowledge of design, estimates, sales, execution and project management or a variety of HVAC, plumbing and process systems.
  • Must have a working knowledge with MS Office Suite; Outlook, Excel & Word.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting and implementation. Responsible for the completion of each project in a timely and profitable manner.

Responsible for the management of manpower, project coordination, technical advice, safety practices, quality control and organization, for plumbing, HVAC and refrigeration systems. Developing and maintaining customer, General Contractor and engineering relationships. Project management of design build/design assist projects. Provide cost proposals, value engineering and budgeting as necessary. Coordinate with the sheet metal / pipe fabrication shop foreman to ensure proper fabrication and determine delivery schedule.

Participate in preliminary job/safety walk meetings, monthly billing meetings, cost to complete meetings, regular job site inspections and final close out meetings. Prepare change orders for additions and deletions and direct field foremen, prepare and submit internal budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports. Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with specifications, drawings, building and safety codes.

Essential functions of the position include the ability to work in active construction site, walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working overhead, working in confined spaces and lifting objects. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required.
